Hunter is an emergency protocol built into the data cloud of the Eye. Originally designed to detect isolate foreign, sentient beings that infiltrate the Eye, Hunter works synonmyously with their partner, Killer, who is invoked to eliminate the sentient beings after they have been isolated by Hunter.
Whilst originally built by their masters, Solheim, to protect Solheim property, they were abandoned shortly after the collapse of Essen Arp, and have since become sentient. As a result, if a player tries to perform actions within the cloud, they will be tracked down by Hunter, who will in turn, invoke Killer in an attempt to destroy them and secure the cloud.
