Formerly part of Ankhita's crew, Ashton is an ex-mercenary who stole her shipmind, thus betraying her trust and making an enemy of her; as a result, Ankhita became stranded on the Eye and thus seeks revenge.
Ashton hoped to use the shipmind to restore a sleeper he was in love with. This plan, however, eventually fails, and during Ankhita's questline, Ashton is stabbed and killed by Ankhita.
